WE KNOW…. how can we dream of putting the legends that are Subhumans on before us… well, there was a heated “debate” with Dick Lucas where he pointed out that if they played last then it was just a Subhumans gig, whereas this gig is a celebration of our 40 years as a band…so you can’t argue with that logic. albeit a bit intimidating.! Both bands will be playing a full set though!Today punk legends Paranoid Visions announced a special 40th anniversary show in Dublin’s Button Factory on Saturday, December 10. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 26 at 10am.Surviving 40 years outside of the music industry requires a particular level of DIY ethics, belligerence and stubbornness, but nobody can dispute that Paranoid Visions have admirably flown the flag for independent music in Ireland longer than any other band. During that period, particularly in the past 10 years, the band has graced stages all over Europe and as well as America, Canada and Japan, clocking up 3 top ten singles and a top ten album on the way.The bands 40 year history is being marked with a special gig at the Button Factory, December 10th 2022 where they will be joined by long time friends Subhumans and local favourites the Nilz alongside Dangerous Dave and the Side Effects. The gig will also launch a new cd and vinyl release 40 years in 45 minutes, a band-chosen compilation, available on double CD and vinyl, featuring a track from every release and features 5 brand new recordings. This special release will also include the bands history along with extensive sleeve notes. The Button Factory show will also be filmed as part of a Clifford and Clifford documentary on the band.Tickets including booking fee are €20 from www.tickets.ie or €35 and will include a copy of the CD from www.advancerecords.com
